Healdsburg is the wine country center of northern Sonoma County and makes a great base for exploring Alexander Valley, the Russian River Valley, and Dry Creek Valley, all of which touch Healdsburg. Driving for less than an hour from Healdsburg you can reach the Sonoma coast to the west, Mendocino County to the north and Napa County’s wine country to the east.
