The
City of Sonoma is where the State of California began. It was here, in the
middle of the 1800's that independence from Mexico was declared and the Bear
Flag briefly flew before being replaced with the stars and stripes. Location
of the northernmost mission built by the Mexicans, Sonoma is home to many
historical sites, all located within easy walking from the Victorian
Garden Inn or the Cottage Inn
& Spa or an easy drive from the Sonoma
Chalet. The city square is one of the most perfect squares of any small
city in California. Make time to stroll around the shops, restaurants, and
historical points of interest that make this such a wonderful destination
and headquarters for exploring Sonoma wine country
